EXCLUSIVE: Surbhi Chandna Admits Old Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Episodes Are Still Rewatched; Says, “Mujhe Aaj Bhi Calls Aate Hai, Memes Bante Hai”

Surbhi Chandna began her acting career in 2009 with a cameo as ‘Sweety’ in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In this role, she worked as a salesgirl at Jethalal’s shop for some time. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, the actress revealed people still watch the old episodes and revealed if the content was better then. Surbhi Chandna On Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’s Old Viral Episodes

When asked about her old clips from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah still being watched and if the content was better then, Surbhi Chandna said, “Haa, woh (audience) rewatch karti hai. Toh kai baar mujhe phone aata hai, ‘Arey Didi, maine aapko dekha! Meri help hui!’ So when I started off, I did a very small character, which they keep replaying even now. This was even before Ishqbaaz, before even Qubool Hai. Toh uss character ka naam tha Sweety.”

She added, “Mujhe aaj bhi calls aate hain, uske memes bante hain — Qubool Hai, Baby ji, Sweety Second! Woh jab unhone leap ke baad leave kiya tha, toh main goongi aur behri thi, matlab I am deaf and mute in the show. Mere character ka naam tha Haya — Surbhi Jyoti ki main behen banti hoon. Aur wahi se mujhe phir Ishqbaaz di. Ishq toh khair, anyway! Toh log rewatch karte hain. Bada matlab, Taarak Mehta bhi rewatch hota hai!”
