Surbhi Chandna has been a part of television industry for a decade. She rose to fame with stint in the TV show Ishqbaaz and then there was no looking back. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Surbhi recalls her struggling phase and shares how she was replaced from Jamai Raja last minute.
Surbhi Chandna on struggles as producer
Talking about her journey as producer, the Naagin actress says, “As a producer, my first struggle is going to be that people should take me seriously. What happens is everyone feels, ‘Okay, she just made something new, in a few days she’ll calm down.’ But I think I want to keep things going and sustain it. That’s why I want to work in silence. I want to take baby steps and don’t want to run into things. Let my work speak, let my production value speak for everything. Because I have created a brand for myself and I struggled a lot for that.“

She further shares how she has been replaced from projects last minute as she recalls her struggling days. She shares, “I still remember that one year when I was waiting for Ishqbaaz. I did multiple mock shoots for that show. But I think I was very blessed as I lived with my mum and dad and Karan was in my life too. So every day you get some strength. Even before that, I tested for Jamai Raja. Everything was set. I had even gone shopping for it. And then the makers said, “No Surbhi, we want a new face.” Everything was ready, but these were the struggles. I feel that good things never come easy, they take time. The industry demands patience, and you must keep that.”
