Actress Tanya Maniktala is one of the most well-known actresses in the industry. She has made her mark with her performances in films such as A Suitable Boy, Tooth Pari: When Love Bites and Kill. She recently shared her thoughts on not receiving recognition at IIFA 2025, despite her Kill co-stars Lakshya Lalwani winning the Best Debut (Male) and Raghav Juyal winning the award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. She expresses happiness for their achievements.
Tanya Maniktala On Not Receiving IIFA
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Tanya stated that awards are not her ultimate goal, but the acknowledgement and love that she received from her fans means a lot to her. She stated, “Validation feels great. I’m not going to deny that. But I think I got my validation from the love that I’ve been receiving post that and the people that I’ve been talking to. The opportunities that are coming my way post that. So I think Awards vagera to bahut aayenge yaar. My journey has just started. But recognition I don’t think I could have ever imagined even being here right now.”
She further added, “So, I would say that would just be very ungrateful for me if I say that. So there’s so much gratitude in my heart. And because of all this love that has been given to me, I feel like it is my responsibility. Now, as an actor, and as Tanya, to do so much more and to bring to my audience a lot, even more.”
She remains grateful for the love Kill has received and hopes her performances continue to make an impact. She believes true success comes from growth as an artist rather than just industry recognition.
