Tridha Choudhury Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Tridha Choudhury has consistently evolved across mediums, making thoughtful choices in regional cinema, television series, and the digital space. As she gears up to return to the big screen with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, the actress reflects on a journey shaped by patience, resilience, and self-discovery. In an exclusive interview, Tridha spoke candidly about how she views her transformation, the realities of the industry, and the filmmaker she dreams of working with. Read on to know what she shared.

Tridha Choudhury Calls Her Journey ‘Metamorphosis’ As She Opens Up On Growth

Describing her journey, Tridha immediately likened it to a process of transformation, explaining how growth often requires time and courage. “‘Metamorphosis’, jahan pe ek caterpillar cocoon mein rehti hai, and then kaafi time lagta hai, but once it’s out, you see all the colours. So mujhe lagta hai metamorphosis, jo ek badlaav hai, that’s been beautiful, kyunki mujhe kaafi cocoon se bahar nikalna pada. Maine kabhi nahi socha tha ki I could take myself seriously.” Through this analogy, she highlighted how stepping out of comfort zones became essential to discovering her own potential.

When the conversation shifted to industry challenges and assumptions around television backgrounds, Tridha clarified her path while addressing uncomfortable truths with honesty. “Actually, I’m not from television. I’ve done regional films pehle, and then television mein Dahleez was a limited series, finite series. So I never understood… mera tajurba raha hai working with the best set of directors, wo mere liye bohot beneficial raha hai.” As a result, she found that strong collaborations often opened doors organically.

Moreover, she explained how consciously choosing credible teams helped shape her career. “Kisi na kisi tarah recommendation for the next work ya next project, uska journey bohot smooth tha. Kyunki somewhere or the other, agar aap acche batch of actors ya directors ke saath kaam karte ho… main jab bhi project choose karti hoon na, it has to have a strong director or an actor or a production house, because that’s the only way, that is non-negotiable for me.”

Tridha Choudhury Remembers Her Challenging Journey

At the same time, Tridha acknowledged that the industry hasn’t always been kind. “So it has been challenging for sure. Bohot baar mujhe bohot logon ne bola tha ki mujhe blacklist kar denge agar main unse kisi particular jagah pe nahi milu, ya unse baat aage na badhaun.” She admitted that such moments often shake one’s confidence more than they create fear.

Yet, balance came through unexpected support. “Toh ek nervous energy se zyada aapka hausla toot jaata hai… but also there are good people – I call them guardians, jo kisi na kisi tarah aapki madad kar dete hain.” These experiences, she believes, restore faith and keep artists moving forward.

Tridha Choudhury Shares Desire To Work With Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Looking ahead, Tridha didn’t hesitate when asked about her dream collaboration. “It is Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I really would love to work with Sanjay sir.” The aspiration reflects her desire to be part of cinema rooted in grandeur, emotion, and depth of storytelling.

Tridha Choudhury’s journey stands as a testament to growth shaped by intention rather than noise. From embracing transformation to standing firm against industry pressures, she continues to move forward with clarity and conviction. As she prepares for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 and eyes meaningful collaborations ahead, her story reinforces that true metamorphosis comes from staying rooted, resilient, and real.
