The business of movies is vast and spreads across different territories. Bollywood stars are the main factors behind such huge regulation of money. They’re the ones who pull the crowd into theatres and help the ecosystem of movies to generate the revenue.

Naturally, they take a higher cut out of all the crew members because the life of a movie star demands that kind of branding and maintenance in their work sphere. But, there have been instances where some Bollywood stars have kept aside their remuneration.

Today, we will talk about actors, who haven’t charged anything to play their parts onscreen.

1. Kareena Kapoor Khan: Kareena didn’t charge a single penny for her dance number, “Fevicol Se” in Dabangg 2. She wanted to keep up the legacy of, “Munni Badnaam Hui” from the film’s prequel, and boy did she nail it! Prior to this, she took up similar practice for the song, “Marjaani” from Billu. When Shah Rukh Khan sent her a cheque following the shoot, she politely sent it back.

2. Deepika Padukone: The whole country went gaga over Deepika Padukone in her debut film, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and was full of praises for her performance. Interestingly, she did the role for free, as she considered it a great fortune to kick-start her Bollywood career opposite Shah Rukh Khan! Well, the stars really worked in her favour. Deepika did the same once again when she did an item song for good friend Dinesh Vijan’s movie ‘Raabta’.

5. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: Aishwarya didn’t charge any fee for her comeback movie Jazba instead she opted for profit sharing module. She had some stakes with her share of profit instead of fees.
