Can you imagine watching a Hindi film without any songs? I guess the majority of you will agree when I say that songs are an integral part of our Bollywood films. Yes, our films would be incomplete without a soundtrack. In fact, most of the time the quality of a film’s soundtrack contributes to its success. There also some films who might have tanked at the box office but their songs went on to become chartbusters.

This year we saw several classic and chartbuster songs rehashed and presented to the audience. Majority of them were a mere disappointment and so not needed. Only a handful of them were good enough to be included in our playlist.

And thankfully there also some original compositions offered by the music-composers. And they were indeed the much-needed breath of fresh air. As the year is about to end here we bring you some of the most romantic songs.

Best Romantic Hindi Songs of 2019

‘Ve Maahi’  (Kesari)

‘Ve Maahi’ is hands down one of the best songs of 2019. Sung by Arijit Singh and Asees Kaur the song highlights the feelings of lovers expressing their unconditional love for each other. The track is composed and written by Tanishk Bagchi. Featuring Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra the song is from ‘Kesari’.

‘Chashni’ (Bharat)

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Bharat’ gave us quite a few good songs. But one track that stands out for its soulful composition is ‘Chashni’. Composed by Vishal & Shekhar, it is sung by Abhijeet Srivastava. The best part of this track is its Irshad Kamil’s lyrics. It’s more like a love poem that you can dedicate to your lover.

‘Dil Hi Toh Hai’ (The Sky Is Pink)

Yet another Arijit Singh song that made the music lovers go crazy. Composed by Pritam, the romantic track is penned by none other than Gulzar. The song is so fresh and beautifully composed that it will instantly cheer you up. Featuring Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra, ‘Dil Hi Toh Hai’ is the best song from ‘The Sky Is Pink’ soundtrack.

‘Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage’ (Kabir Singh)

‘Kabir Singh’ too featured some of the best songs. From romantic to heartbreak, it had everything. Crooned by Arijit Singh, ‘Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage’ is composed by Mithoon. If you loved this version then also check out Jubin Nautiyal’s version. Both of them are simply amazing.

‘Awara’ (Dabangg 3)

Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Dabangg 3’ boast of several songs. Out of all the songs, one that remains with you is ‘Awara’. Crooned by Salman Ali and Muskaan, ‘Awara’ is composed by Sajid-Wajid. The song highlights the innocence of first love.

‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ title track (Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga)

This is a remix of Anil Kapoor’s evergreen song of the same name. Now it’s very hard for a remix to be loved by the music lovers as much the original version. But the title track of ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ was a refreshing song crooned by Darshan Raval and Rochak Kohli (he had also composed it). The lyrics of this lovely version is penned by Gurpreet Saini.

‘Gud Naal’ (Ek Ladki Lo Dekha Toh Aisa Laga)

Sung by Navraj Hans & Harshdeep Kaur, ‘Gud Naal’ is also a remake version of the 90s popular pop song of the same name. This song stands out from the rest, as the makers thankfully didn’t kill the soul of the peppy track. Also, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor’s dance in this track is very endearing.

‘Tere Bin’ (Simmba)

‘Tere Bin’ is sung Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Asees Kaur. This soulful romantic track is also a reprised version of ‘Tere Bin Nahi Lagda’ song sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, ‘Tere Bin’ is the kind of song you would love to listen on loop.

‘Tum Hi Aana’ (Marjaavaan)

Jubin Nautiyal’s voice will get you hooked to this song instantly. Composed by Payal Dev, ‘Tum Hi Aana’ is penned by Kunaal Vermaa. All music aficionados and poetry lover should definitely have this song on their playlist.

‘Photo Song’ (Luka Chuppi)

Composed by Goldboy, ‘Photo Song’ is penned by Karan Sehmbi. Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon’s chemistry in this track makes it all the more interesting to watch.

‘Tere Liye’ (Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota)

‘Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota’ is one of the most underrated films of 2019. Its soundtrack features some of the most powerful songs and one of them is ‘Tere Liye’. Kamakshi Rai, Vishal Mishra, Karan Kulkarni have lent their voice to this melodious song. Karan Kulkarni has done a great job with the soundtrack of this action-comedy.

‘Fakira’ (The Student Of The Year 2)

Sung by Sanam Puri & Neeti Mohan, ‘Fakira’ was the only good thing that came out of this mega flop film. Anvita Dutt’s lyrics are as usual the highlight of this romantic track.

‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ title track (Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas)

Arijit Singh & Parampara Thakur’s Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ title track is yet another most romantic number that we came across this year. The songs’ lyrics penned by Siddharth Garima, speaks about the excitement of new lovers and the promises they make to each other.
