Kareena Kapoor to Salman Khan to Katrina Kaif – celebs who did an item song for free
Bollywood actors are known to charge a bomb for their projects and everything about them is mostly tagged under expensive. From their looks to their lifestyle everything screams extravagant and posh. But, amidst all this glitz and glam there is a flipside that not many know off.
This flipside includes huge charities and fundraisers that portrays a more generous side of actors that they give back to society. But apart from charities Bollywood celebrities maintain very warm relations with their colleagues and keep doing gestures of kindness for them for sheer friendship.
We have always heard of Bollywood Bff’s spoiling each other with expensive gifts and helping each other out. But did you know that actors have also done some of their projects for free without charging anything in return? Here is a list of Bollywood Item songs that celebs have done free of charge.
Bollywood celebs who did item songs for free
Kareena Kapoor had set the temperature high with her performance in Marjaani from ‘Billu’, but not many know that she had done it for free. Reportedly, when SRK sent her a cheque following the shoot, she politely sent it back. She also extended her generous gesture to Salman Khan, when she performed, ‘Fevicol Se’ for ‘Dabangg 2’ for free. She nailed the song and boy did she look gorgeous.
Priyanka Chopra is known as a global star these days and the actress is raising the bar higher everyday. But the actress stays grounded and humble always. ‘You Get Me Rocking And Reeling’ song that starred Priyanka alongside Shah Rukh Khan from ‘Billu’ was one such gesture. Priyanka had done it for free, as a token of her friendship with the megastar.
Katrina Kaif was all over the country as her song Chikni Chameli from ‘Agneepath’ had become a chartbuster in no time, but little do we know that the actress did the song for free as a friendly gesture to director Karan Johar. Overwhelmed by her act of kindness KJo gifted her a Ferrari in return.
Sonakshi Sinha is known to do a lot of her movies with Akshay Kumar like ‘Rowdy Rathore’, ‘Joker’, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara’, ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty’ and more recently ‘Mission Mangal’. So it was a no-brainer when she did a song for his film, ‘Boss‘ without any remuneration.
Salman Khan is known for his generosity with his charities and association with NGO’s and not to forget his project Being Human. The actor made an appearance in Ajay Devgn‘s ‘Son Of Sardar’ in the song ‘Po Po’ along with Ajay and Sonakshi Sinha totally for free.
