Divya Bharti

Bollywood actress Divya Bharti died on 5 April 1993 at the age of 19. Bharti fell from a five storey building, Tulsi Apartment, in Versova. It wasn’t long before the media and public started making assumptions behind the cause of her death. Many say it was a suicide while some say it was a murder. But mostly people took it to be a suicide. Police investigated for 5 years but did not find any clue, so the cause of her death was never officially confirmed.

Parveen Babi

Most beautiful and glamourous actress of Bollywood, Parveen Babi, was found dead on 22nd January 2005. Police had found her dead body after 72 hours when secretary of her society alerted the police that she had not collected milk and newspaper from her doorsteps for three days. She had diabetes and also was in severe depression. Parveen committed suicide by consuming alcohol and sleeping pills.

Guru Dutt

Guru Dutt was the first star in Bollywood industry, who committed suicide on 10th October, 1964. He was a film director, producer and actor. He made classics like 'Pyaasa', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool' and 'Chaudhvin Ka Chand'. He was very stressed because he had a strong love affair with actress Waheeda Rehman which led to a quarrel with his wife Geeta Dutta. He was found dead in his rented apartment at Peddar Road in Mumbai. He consumed alcohol with a lot of sleeping pills.

Jiah Khan

Jiah Khan was a British American actress, model and singer. Jiah made her Bollywood debut opposite megastar Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial film 'Nishabd'. She had catapulted herself into the highest grossing movies like 'Ghajini' and 'Housefull'. On 3rd June 2013, she was found dead in her flat in Juhu Mumbai, after hanging herself. Jiah committed suicide and left behind a 6 page suicide note where she mentioned about her abusive relationship with Sooraj Pancholi.

Silk Smitha

Silk Smitha was an actress who predominantly worked in the south movies. Silk Smitha was found dead in her Chennai apartment, having committed suicide on 23rd September 1996. She committed suicide mainly because of loss of love, financial bankruptcy and alcoholism.

Kuljeet Randhawa

Kuljeet Randhawa committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling fan. Her suicide note stated that she could not cope with the pressures and therefore was ending her life.

Shikha Joshi

Model-turned-actress Shikha Joshi who was last seen in the erotic movie 'BA Pass' too had committed suicide. Rumours were that the reason behind her committing suicide was her failing career.

Viveka Babaji

Viveka Babaji became famous with her Kama Sutra advertisement. She committed suicide in the year 2010 by hanging herself from the ceiling fan. Failed career and relationships were cited as reasons for her suicide.

Nafisa Joseph

Former Miss India Nafisa Joseph hung herself in her apartment a few years ago. Her suicide came as a shock because she was just weeks away from her wedding. The reason being cited was that her husband-to-be was still married when he claimed that he had been divorced for two years. This shock led her to give up on life and suicide.

Manmohan Desai

Manmohan Desai who had made great movies like 'Amar Akbar Anthony' and 'Dharam Veer' fell to his death from his balcony in 1994. It is said that as his movies were beginning to fail and lose flavour amongst the audience, he committed suicide.

Kunal Singh

Kunal Singh attained fame with the movie 'Dil Hi Dil Mein' opposite Sonali Bendre. He was also at the stage of his career where he was climbing the ladder in Bhojpuri and South Indian movies. The reason for him committing suicide is said to be his strained relationship with his wife and the fact that he was not allowed to see his kids.
