Raising kids is the most difficult and thankless job in the whole world. No matter how much gratitude we express for all the mothers out there still we would fall short of words to express our feelings for them.

If raising a child along with your partner is so difficult, imagine the kind of difficulties a single parent must be going through. However, there are few Bollywood celebrities who are not only raising their kids perfectly but also setting an example for all single parents out there.

Here we bring you six B-town celebs who are donning the hat of a single parent like a pro.

 

1-Karan Johar

Celebrated filmmaker, reality show judge, host, actor Karan Johar welcomed twins Yash and Roohi via surrogacy last year. Karan who is very attached to his parents named his son Yash after his father’s name and rearranged from his mother’s name Hiroo, to name his daughter Roohi. The filmmaker is a hands-on father who dotes on his twins and his whole life revolves around his babies and his mother.

Announcing the arrival of his kids the filmmaker issued a statement which read, “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.”

2-Tusshar Kapoor

Actor Tusshar Kapoor too welcomed his son Laksshya via surrogacy in June 2016. The elated Kapoors shared the happiest moment of their life by announcing, “We could not be more excited to be grandparents to Laksshya, and are completely supportive of Tusshar’s decision. This is certainly a tremendous blessing, and an exciting time in our lives. Tusshar is a wonderful son, and he has proven, with responsibility, independence and kindness, that he will be a great father to Laksshya.”

Ever since then Tusshar is happily looking after his son Laksshya.

3-Sushmita Sen

Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has adopted two girls. The actress fought a complicated legal battle and brought her first daughter Renee home when she was just 25. She adopted her second daughter, Alisah, in 2010. The gorgeous actress is now a proud mother of two beautiful daughters and is leaving no stone unturned to give them all the love and care they deserve.

4-Neena Gupta
This veteran actress is a proud mother of fashion designer Masaba. The actress was in a relationship with former West Indian cricketer Vivian Richards and welcomed her daughter out of wedlock in the 1980s. It was one of the gutsiest things to do at that time and Neena never bowed down to the pressures of the society. Masaba is a known name in the world of fashion, who is married to filmmaker Madhu Mantena.

5- Raveena Tandon

Raveena adopted two girls 11-year-old Pooja and 8-year-old Chhaya as a single parent in 1995 when she was just 21-year-old. These two girls were daughters of her distant cousin who were going through very bad times. The actress took on the responsibility of raising them all by herself and even got them married in the year 2011 and 2016 respectively.

6-Rahul Bose

Power-house performer Rahul has adopted six kids from Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The actor has adopted the kids with the consent of his charity institution from the Andaman and Nicobar islands. The actor has since then fulfilled all the responsibilities and taken a good care of his adopted kids.

7- Sandip Soparkar

Dance expert and choreographer Sandip Soparrkar was the first Indian male celebrity to adopt a child and thereby become the city’s first single adoptive father in 2000s.
