1. Niyati Joshi: A daughter of veteran star Dilip Joshi who is popularly known as Jethalal from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah made a bold choice at her wedding. For her marriage, she didn’t hide her flaws but in fact, chose to embrace them with utmost confidence. By doing so, she also crushed the basic bridal stereotype and flaunted her grey hair with elan. 2. Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal: Where do we begin?! She has crushed quite a few stereotypes of being a perfect bride to Vicky Kaushal. Right from getting married to a man who is younger than her to marrying a man who is not as established as Katrina, the Tiger 3 is the woman of this era! However, during her wedding, the phoolon ki chaddar ritual was conducted by her 6 sisters which is particularly done by the male members of the family. Now, way to go, girl!

3. Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao: This was one of the sweetest weddings of Bollywood. Not sure how many have seen their wedding video but Rajkummar asks his wife to apply vermillion (sindoor) on his forehead as well. It speaks about equality and more importantly tells us that marriage is a union of two souls which means everything will be divided equally between the two. Aren’t they adorable?

4. Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi: Have you ever seen a woman priest performing a wedding? It’s so rare to find that. Well, Dia managed to make it happen at her own marriage. For the wedding, she chose to have a female pandit instead of a regular pandit. She even made a post on the same where an excerpt of her note read, “The highest point for us was the Vedic ceremony conducted by a woman priest! I had never seen a woman performing a wedding ceremony until I attended my childhood friend Ananya’s wedding a few years ago. Ananya’s wedding gift to Vaibhav and me was to bring Sheela Atta who is her aunt and also a priestess, to perform the ceremony for us.” Now, that’s how to crush the patriarchy!

5. Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar: When it comes to Bollywood weddings, obviously one think that they will be donning some ace designer’s outfits. They go all out and about with wedding outfits and are often spotted wearing heavy ensembles for their D-Day.
