'Mother India' cast re-imagined: Oscar-worthy or not?

Vidya Balan as Radha

For us it wasn’t easy to cast someone as Radha (role played by Nargis Dutt), but we feel Vidya Balan can do justice to the role as she has the talent and substance to step into the legendary actress' shoes.

Rajkummar Rao as Shamu

To get the intensity of the character of Shamu, we had Late Raaj Kumar playing the role. This time, we need another RajKummar in the film. Rao will surely be able to portray the character wonderfully.

Ranveer Singh as Birju

Cute as well as the one with a devilish mind, we feel only Ranveer Singh can play the role of Birju.

Sidharth Malhotra as Ramu

Ramu’s character played by Rajendra Kumar was of a simple guy. Sidharth Malhotra would be apt to play the same.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Sukhilala

Kanhaiyalal was excellent as Sukhilala, and the versatile Nawazuddin Siddiqui can easily carry the negative character, that of a cunning and evil person.

Have you guys seen the collection of ‘Judwaa 2’? Well, it’s already a hit at the box office. This proves that remakes are doing well at the box office, so there is no harm in looking at the archives of Bollywood. (Also Check: How would ‘Sholay’ in today’s times look like?
