The sexy Mallika Sherawat charged a whopping 3 crore for her item song 'Jalebi Bai' in the movie 'Double Dhamaal'.

Jacqueline Fernandez in Jadoo Ki Jhappi

Prabhu Deva's movie 'Ramaiya Vastavaiya' starring Girish Taurani (son of Kumar Taurani) and Shruti Haasan, also featured an item song that saw the ravishing Jacqueline Fernandez as a village belle. Jacqueline's sizzling moves were enough to send her fans into a frenzy in the song 'Jadoo Ki Jhappi' that also saw a special appearance by the guru of dance Prabhu Deva. Jacqueline charged Rs 1 crore for her item number.

Malaika Arora Khan in Munni Badnaam Hui

Salman Khan's bhabhi Malaika Arora Khan did an item number in Salman and Sonakshi Sinha starrer 'Dabangg'. The famous song 'Munni Badnaam Hui' surely grabbed eyeballs and Malaika was much loved for her svelte figure and sexy moves. Reportedly, Malaika charged Rs 2 Crore for the song.

Sunny Leone in Baby Doll

Sunny Leone who has become the queen of item songs today struck a jackpot right with her debut item number 'Baby Doll' in the movie 'Ragini MMS 2'. Sunny was sensuous and hot in the song and she charged a whopping Rs 3 crore for the number.

Madhur Bhandarkar directorial 'Heroine' that featured Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role had an item song 'Halkat Jawani' and Bebo charged Rs 5 crore for just the song alone!

Katrina Kaif who has some of the most popular item songs to her credit apparently charged Rs 3.5 crore for her item song 'Chikni Chameli' in the movie 'Agneepath' that starred Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt.

The period romance ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela' directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali had a special appearance by Priyanka Chopra in an item song. The song 'Ram Chahe Leela' where a sexy PeeCee was seen dancing gracefully was quite expensive. PeeCee apparently charged a huge amount of Rs 6 crore for just the item number, in the Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer.

Item numbers have been there in Bollywood since times immemorial, as early as the 1950s and 60s, where Helen grooved to sizzling cabaret numbers. Times have changed, and so has the taste and interest of audience. Though we don’t groove to cabarets now, but item numbers are still very much there as our B-town actresses gyrate to the latest tunes, titillating the viewers.
