In a country like India, people save extra funds just to have a lavish wedding. In fact, in India, people spend lakhs and some even crores for a wedding as it is said to show the social status in society. Apart from laymen, quite a few Bollywood couples and public figures have opted for big lavish weddings for themselves. Then comes the other set of Bollywood couples who have opted for such a low key wedding that our hearts just got melted. Gone are those days when a wedding had more than 400 people, an elaborate pre-wedding festivities, pre-wedding photoshoot.

Nevertheless, here were are going to talk about the Bollywood couples who have chosen intimate weddings rather than larger-than-life ceremonies. Right from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, take a look at the post-pandemic weddings that have made us fall in love with intimate ceremonies.

1. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor:

The couple got married on April 14 at their own house Vastu with only close friends and family in attendance. Reportedly, the couple will not even host a reception party for the film fraternity. Not just their wedding, Alia and Ranbir wedding ensembles were quite basic but exuded elegance. Ditching the heavy makeup, Mehendi, outfit and even heavy makeup, Alia only let her marriage glow and smile do all the talking. Considering how brides go crazy on their D-Day, Alia and Ranbir were just enjoying the nuptials.

2. Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal:

Though it was a destination wedding, Katrina and Vicky strictly did their marriage in attendance of their family only. There were no friends of the couple who was invited to the wedding. For the wedding too, Katrina went for the classic traditional red for her wedding trousseau along with minimal makeup and hair. On the other hand, Vicky also was quite minimal with his outfit, complimenting his wife. Isn’t it how the wedding should be?

3. Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa:

What could be a better wedding where you only celebrate love and togetherness. Rajkummar and Patralekhaa had the most amazing wedding ever. They got married in the country with limited guests, leaving all the fanciness behind. In fact, they even opted for marigold garlands for the wedding and it can’t be more simple than this. We were actually impressed with their low-key celebration.

Speaking of post-pandemic intimate weddings, Farhan and Shibani also enter our list. The couple had a private wedding in Alibaug where they laughed, danced and most importantly had the time of their lives.

5. Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar:

The couple got married in Himachal Pradesh in the presence of their family. Unlike any other Bollywood wedding, Yami and Aditya was a discreet one. It was so low-key that fans only got to know about their wedding after they shared their first beautiful wedding pictures on Instagram. The best part about their wedding was when they chose proper traditional customs, no designer wedding clothes but local designer wear. Now, that’s the kind of wedding anyone would never see in Bollywood.

Another wedding that stole everyone’s attention for having a low-key wedding was Dia and Vaibhav’s. It was a no-fuss and no-hassle wedding and we adore it very much.

7. Angira Dhar and Anand Tiwari:

There are very rare weddings that get married in a house. Before Alia and Ranbir, it was Angira Dhar and Anand who got married in a house with only family in attendance. Their wedding was surely the definition of an intimate wedding.
