The makers of ‘Dear Maya‘ had unveiled the trailer some days back and its unique theme caught our fancy immediately. A lady staying in an abandoned bungalow for 20 years, refusing to connect with the outside world because she hasn’t been loved by any man, is heart-rending to see. Manisha Koirala has picked an interesting subject for her comeback movie and she perfectly captures the emotions of Maya. We also see two teenage girls, Anna and Ira who are on a mission to bring happiness in Maya’s life and write fake letters to her in the name of a man she had met 20 years back. The girls write the letter from the perspective of the man, who claims that he fell in love with Maya when he met her for the first time, and it took him all this time to reach her and profess his love. What happens next, how colours pop into Maya’s life, but how things take an unfortunate turn, form the rest of the story which we are more than eager to watch.
