Samantha Ruth Prabhu: A few days ago, Samantha revealed she has been diagnosed with Myositis, an autoimmune disease, which affects the muscles and makes them weak. The actress shared a picture from hospital along with a note. Talking about her disease, Samantha wrote, “Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days… physically and emotionally… and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery. I love you. THIS TOO SHALL PASS.”

Varun Dhawan: Varun recently opened up about his health condition called Vestibular Hypofunction. Vestibular Hypofunction is a term used when the balance system in your ear, the peripheral vestibular system, is not working properly. Speaking with India Today, Varun had said, “Recently, I just shut down. I didn’t know what had happened to me. I had this thing called Vestibular hypofunction, where basically your balance goes off. But I just pushed myself so hard. We are just running in this race, nobody is asking why. I think there is a greater purpose why we are all here. I am trying to find mine, and hopefully, people will find theirs.” He later gave an update saying he’s doing much better with the ‘help of yoga, swimming, physio, and a change in lifestyle. Getting sun is the most important. Above all the blessings of Bhagwan.’

Yami Gautam: Last year, Yami shared a post on Instagram and revealed she has a rare disease called Keratosis-Pilaris. She shared a bunch of pictures and wrote, “It is a skin condition wherein you get tiny bumps on the skin. I promise they aren’t as bad as your mind and your neighbor aunty makes it out to be. I developed this skin condition during my teenage years, and there is still no cure for it. I’ve dealt with it for many years now and today finally, I decided to let go of all my fears and insecurities and found the courage to love and accept my ‘flaws’ wholeheartedly. I also found the courage to share my truth with you.”

Salman Khan: Salman Khan suffered from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a facial nerve disorder that cause extreme pain on the face. During a song launch event in Dubai, he had said, “I was suffering from this nerve problem called trigeminal neuralgia. So, I couldn’t talk. Had to talk like that (speaking with his mouth slightly closed) and huge amount of pain. That’s one disease that basically has the highest rates of suicides. Over education, over everything. There is so much pain… I suffered that.” The actor went to the US for treatment and is now well.

Hrithik Roshan: In 2013, Hrithik suffered from a rare disease called Chronic Subdural Haematoma, a type of haematoma which is often associated with traumatic brain injury. He immediately underwent successful brain surgery to remove a clot that he had developed from head injuries suffered while shooting.
