Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Earlier we reported that the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Padmavati‘ came to a halt as the members of Karni Sena protested against the film. As per the protesters, the film distorts the historical facts. ‘Padmavati’ is based on the life of Queen Padmavati who performed ‘Juahar’ to save her pride. But apparently the members of Karni group felt that the film would show Queen Padmavati in poor light and hence bring disgrace to the queen and hence, they protested against the film. The protest went out of control and protesters then stalled the shooting of the film by vandalising the set.

As per reports, the incident took place at Jaigarh fort wherein the shooting was held. Apparently, the Karni Sena broke the equipments and created a ruckus on set. In fact, they even slapped the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and pulled his hair to show their protest.

Police then took charge of the situation. Here are some pictures.
