This Vishnuvardhan directorial was a biopic on Param Vir Chakra-awardee Captain Vikram Batra who sacrificed his life during the Kargil War. Sidharth Malhotra in the skin of Captain Vikram Batra did absolute justice to the story and we were in awe. His chemistry with rumoured lady love Kiara Advani was much loved by the fans.

Ek Villain

Another hit by Sidharth Malhotra was Ek Villian. He starred opposite Shraddha Kapoor in this one. Helmed by Mohit Suri, Sidharth was seen as a heartbroken ruthless killer who slashes anyone in his way after a serial killer played by Riteish Deshmukh kills his wife. Sidharth left us impressed as a bone-chilling killer and she was applauded by the audience and critics for his role.

A Gentleman: Sundar, Susheel, Risky

A Gentleman: Sundar, Susheel, Risky was released in 2017 and the action comedy saw Sidharth juggle between the good and bad boy act. Written and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K, Sidharth was seen playing a py opposite Jacqueline Fernandez. Sidharth did a flawless job switching between two contrasting roles.

Hasee Toh Phasee

Another gem was the Vinil Mathew directorial Hasee Toh Phasee. Released in 2014, Sidharth starred opposite Parineeti Chopra in the romantic drama. Sidharth was seen as a struggling businessman whose life takes a toss as he crosses paths with his girlfriend’s younger sister. Sidharth nailed it as a sincere businessman, but his chemistry with Parineeti was a winner.

Kapoor & Sons

Lastly, Kapoor & Sons was also another feather in Sidharth’s cap. The Shakun Batra helmed, 2016 release was an out and out family comedy-drama that starred Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan, Rajat Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rishi Kapoor. The film revolved around two contrasting brothers who were stuck in a completely dysfunctional family.
