For long we have been haunted with one specific scene in our dreams and that is of Kattappa killing Baahubali. Probably Baahubali had the most mysterious death and not just the commoners, even the police had been left in a state of shock. The most dreaded question for past few years has been ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali’? We all remember the last scene where Kattappa stabs Baahubali from behind, in turn killing him. Now as per a little birdie, Kattappa did so on the orders of his beloved king Baahubali. Being a loving brother, Baahubali realised that his brother Bhallala Deva holds dreams of ruling the thrown. Bhallala Deva desperately wants to be the king, but the citizens of Maheshmati, will only accept him if they had no option and Baahubali was dead. His family was falling apart because of this constant friction between the brothers for power. In such a situation, Baahubali finds it appropriate to give away his thrown, but this can only happen if he is dead. Hence, Baahubali orders his most favourite aide Kattappa to kill him. His sacrifice was to save Maheshmati from division, but little did he know that Bhallala Deva would turn out to be such cruel king.
