Aamir Khan in 'Thugs Of Hindostan'

Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist aka actor Aamir Khan’s happiness may know no bounds these days. Reports suggest that his film ‘Dangal’ has exceeded the glorious mark of Rs 1000 crore in China, and has thus become the first Indian film to achieve the feat. Owing to this grand success and after delivering three back-to-back blockbusters with ‘Dhoom 3’, ‘PK’ and ‘Dangal’, there’s no doubt that the actor is currently the most bankable star in the film industry. After ‘Dangal’, Aamir is now gearing up for his next project titled ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. And today, there is a surprising buzz about this film.

Reportedly, Aamir has asked for a higher profit share for the film which is far more than that of his contemporaries like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar. Report suggests that Aamir has asked for 70 per cent profit share from producer Aditya Chopra for this film. (Also Check: The teaser poster of Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is magnificent)

As per DNA, a trade analyst has revealed, “Aamir will pocket almost 70 per cent of the profits while Aditya Chopra will keep the remaining percentage (30 per cent). Fact is, after ‘Dangal’ made Rs 1000 crore, now few people question Aamir on his deals. If ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ makes that amount of money, Adi will get almost Rs 300 crore which is much more than any of his own home productions.” [sic]

Well, isn’t that just incredible?

Talking about the film, according to Aamir Khan’s revelation, ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ is a period film with a story that revolves around a gang that created havoc for the British empire before India achieved independence. Apart from Aamir, the film will star Amitabh Bachchan and actresses Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh playing the female leads.

The film is directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and is expected to begin shooting on June 5 and is targeted for a release during the festive time of Diwali 2018.
