BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook have officially been discharged from their military service in South Korea. It comes just a day after RM and V made their return to the music scene. Fans are already captivated by the duo’s shy giggles as they greeted supporters at Sports Park in Yeoncheon, South Korea. Their return marks the completion of their respective military duties, bringing the entire group closer to a full reunion.

On June 11, the seven-member K-pop group’s youngest members, Jimin and Jungkook, wrapped up their mandatory military service. This fuels more excitement for an upcoming band reunion. A

s two of the youngest members of the global sensation, they appeared before reporters and a large crowd of fans, known as BTS ARMY, at Sports Park, Yeoncheon, following in the footsteps of RM and V, who returned to the scene the previous day.

Jimin and Jungkook enlisted as active-duty soldiers in the ROK Army’s 5th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade on December 12, 2023. Their discharge event drew a massive turnout from fans eager to see the singers again. Despite a prior warning from Big Hit Music urging caution, Yeoncheon experienced a surge of fans early Wednesday morning (KST), highlighting the group’s immense popularity.

Ahead of their discharge, Big Hit emphasised safety, requesting fans to avoid visiting the sites in person. “We prioritise the safety of our artists and fans, and sincerely ask fans not to visit the sites physically. Please share your warm regards and encouragement from afar,” the agency stated on June 7.

Official BTS Reunion

With Jimin and Jungkook back in the spotlight, the only member remaining is Suga. His military service is expected to conclude on June 21, 2025. Its just a week after BTS celebrates their 12th anniversary. Fans eagerly await his return, which will mark the group’s full reunion after their hiatus following BTS FESTA 2022.
