Star-Lord actor Chris Pratt is celebrating eight years of Guardians of the Galaxy. The actor took to social media to thank MCU fans for supporting the franchise for 8 long years. The movie had landed Pratt from a TV darling as Andy and Parks & Rec to a Marvel hero. He won hearts as Peter Quill/Star-Lord.

8 years ago on August 1 2014, Marvel debuted its first Guardians of the Galaxy film in theatres. The movie soon went on to be an integral part of MCU and also advanced the Thanos storyline. As the Guardians of the Galaxy inches closer to its last instalment, Chris took to Instagram to celebrate the series completing 8 years since its release.

And it’s all because of YOU! Thank YOU for allowing us to do what we love. Never forget… we’re the Guardians of the Galaxy.”
