Emily in Paris, the globally acclaimed show starring Lily Collins, Lucas Bravo, has been renewed for season 5. The romantic comedy series, backed by Netflix, features Collins, Bravo, alongside Lucien Laviscount, Ashley Park, and Camille Razat. However, Camille Razat will not be returning for this season.

‘Gabriel’ Lucas Bravo Is STILL In Lily Collins’ Emily In Paris Season 5

Before the announcement of the 5th season, Lucas Bravo made some controversial statements about the show, suggesting he might not return for the new season. But creator Darren Star clarified that the 37-year-old actor never intended to sit out the upcoming season. In an interview with Deadline, Darren said, “I think the latter, just a misunderstanding. I think he was never intending not to come back.”

“I think we’ve got a really terrific season coming up,” Star added. “We filmed in Rome for the first four weeks, and that was an exciting experience to be there. Now we’re back in Paris, Emily is definitely back in Paris.” Late in Season 4, Camille left Paris after one last attempt at a relationship with Gabriel (Bravo), involving a fake pregnancy.

Camille’s departure may open the door, but Emily’s love life remains complicated in Season 5. The Season 4 finale saw her happy with Marcello, yet Gabriel, her former flame, is ready to fight for her. “Her love life is always complicated,” Star said. “We have Marcello, Lucas Bravo is going to be back this season, so we have some interesting, surprising developments in terms of her love life.”

He also hinted at Lucien Laviscount’s increased role in the new season. Laviscount, who played Alfie in the series, will have a more prominent presence compared to previous seasons, in which he appeared in only a few episodes. The creator stated, “Lucien is basically in every episode this season. He’s terrific, and I’m really happy to see him back this year in a more significant way.”

Emily In Paris Season 5

Netflix announced in April that production for Season 5 would commence in May. First in Rome and then in Paris, aiming for a 2025 premiere. The platform also confirmed that the returning cast includes Lily Collins (Emily Cooper), Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Ashley Park (Mindy Chen), Lucas Bravo (Gabriel), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), and William Abadie (Antoine Lambert).

Additionally, Lucien Laviscount as Emily’s ex-boyfriend Alfie will be back full-time, as reported by Deadline in January, along with Eugenio Franceschini (Marcello), introduced in Season 4 as Emily’s new love interest. Fellow Season 4 newcomer Thalia Besson as Genevieve is also expected to return.
