During an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to promote his upcoming film The Accountant 2, Affleck stated, “The people you love the most drive you the most crazy,” which many interpreted as a subtle reference to Lopez, especially given the chemistry he discussed with his costar Jon Bernthal. After giving their romance a second chance following their earlier engagement in the early 2000s, the couple began to face challenges during the filming of Lopez’s passion project, This Is Me… Now: A Love Story.

In the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Lopez was visibly emotional as she expressed her struggles with an overwhelming workload, sharing her guilt about missing a planned event with Affleck, according to a Daily Mail report. However, just last week, Affleck praised her as “spectacular,” as reported by Entertainment Tonight. He emphasised, “For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them. She’s an enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.”

Additionally, the Daily Mail reported that Luciana Barroso, the wife of Affleck’s close friend Matt Damon, has been encouraging him to start dating again. A source revealed, “Ben’s been on a couple of under-the-radar dates, but so far there’s been no magic for him.” Affleck, who has faced challenges with alcohol addiction and multiple rehab stints, is receiving support from his recovery family. According to another insider cited by Radar Online, “His recovery family is urging him to date a woman in the recovery community. Ben being with a woman who drinks is not conducive to his sobriety.” In the same interview, the father of three stated, “I’m genuinely a happy person.”
