An ex-girlfriend of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who accuses him of ass*ulting her, testified at his s*x trafficking trial on Tuesday that she still harbours love for the hip-hop mogul. “He was my baby,” said the woman, who is testifying under the pseudonym Jane to protect her privacy. When asked during cross-examination by defence attorney Teny Geragos if she currently loves Combs, Jane responded, “I do.”
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Ex-Girlfriend Claims She Still Loves Him
Jane explained that she often took care of Combs, bathing him and falling asleep with him while watching television after what they referred to as “hotel nights”—their term for drug-fueled encounters involving s*x with male entertainers while Combs watched. “I resent him for leading me into the lifestyle he led me to,” Jane said. “I resented the way he went about introducing me to this lifestyle.”
The questioning aimed to support Combs’ defence. It sought to portray Jane as a willing participant in the s*xual encounters, rather than a victim of s*x trafficking, as the prosecution claims. Jane testified Monday that she began therapy about three months ago. She previously met with lawyers on Combs’s defence team but cut off those meetings in April, days before the trial began. Combs, founder of Bad Boy Records, has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege that he used force and threats of withholding financial support to coerce women into participating in these encounters, sometimes called “Freak Offs.”
About Ongoing Court Case
Over three days of questioning by prosecutors in Manhattan federal court, Jane testified that she initially agreed to have s*x with a male escort in front of Combs early in their relationship. However, she said he later dismissed her pleas to stop and threatened to cut off her rent. Jane also recounted an incident last June at her Los Angeles home. She said Combs kicked, punched, and dragged her during an altercation. That same night, she claimed he instructed her to perform oral s*x on a male entertainer despite her objections.
During her testimony on Tuesday, under cross-examination by Geragos, Jane mentioned that she researched terms like “cuck” and “cuckold” during her relationship with Combs to better understand his interests. She explained that these words describe men who enjoy watching their female partners with other men. “I just wanted to know why my partner wanted so many of these nights and what was driving him,” she said.
The defence team is expected to continue cross-examining Jane until Thursday. The trial is in its fifth week. It could result in a life sentence for Combs if he is convicted on all charges. Known professionally as Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, Combs has played a significant role in shaping hip-hop culture, elevating artists like Notorious B.I.G. and Usher, and amassing wealth to become a billionaire.
