Gomez expressed that this time together is meaningful, as it allows them to channel their love into their creative process.

“I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world,” Gomez said, according to E! News. Blanco, 37, also mentioned that they’re savouring their engagement experience and prefer not to rush into wedding preparations.

“We’re very much ‘take it one day at a time’-type of people. We’re still not over this moment,” he remarked. The couple announced their engagement in December after Benny Blanco proposed to Selena Gomez during a romantic picnic at Taco Bell. They have been working together in their home recording studio, which Gomez described as “the most intimate” recording experience she has ever had.
