Kelley Mack Dies At 33

Actress Kelley Mack, known for her role in The Walking Dead, has sadly passed away at the age of 33. Her sister, Kathryn, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on August 5. Kelley died on August 2 after bravely battling a rare and aggressive brain cancer known as central nervous system glioma.

Kelley had publicly revealed her diagnosis in September 2024 and had been receiving intense treatment since. Despite her fight, she passed away peacefully in Cincinnati, surrounded by her loved ones, including her mother Kristen and aunt Karen.

Her sister wrote a touching tribute, “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.”

“Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express,” it continued.

Her post further read, “Kelley’s Caringbridge link in her bio includes the 2-page formal announcement with information on her upcoming life celebration in Ohio on August 16. She would want you all to know how much she loves you. And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so fucking proud of her.”

Kelley was widely recognised for her role as Addy in season nine of The Walking Dead. She also appeared in shows like Chicago Med, 9-1-1, and a Modern Family spinoff. On the big screen, she starred in Broadcast Signal Intrusion alongside Harry Shum Jr.

At the time of her death, Kelley was working as both lead actress and executive producer for Universal, a film written by Stephen Portland. Kelley’s talent, strength, and spirit touched many lives, and she will be remembered with love.
