It is no secret that K-pop music videos are over the top and agencies put in an insane amount of money producing them. Well, that is going to be the case with rookie artists TREASURE as they will be making their comeback with a music video titled JIKJIN. Now, what has left us floored and then some more in the amount in which his video is produced. YG Entertainment has spent a whopping 500 million KRW on the JIKJIN music video of TREASURE.

The artists are still rookies as they debuted in 2020. It is a rarity for a group that made their debut just now to have a whopping 500 million KRW which is approximately 420K USD to be out in the production of the upcoming music video.

According to a report by allkpop, a representative of YG Entertainment revealed, “YGE plans on continuously upgrading the agency’s own production capabilities in order to expand the variety of content created for our artists. For the shooting of TREASURE’s ‘Jikjin’ MV, the agency mobilized numerous luxury cars to match the track’s lyrics, which arouse the desire to drive ahead at full speed for one’s ambitions.”

JIKJIN music video will also be reportedly directed by Lee Sang Yoon who was scouted by the label in 2017 and has received praise for his work with the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). Lee Sang Yoon is said to have also worked on BLACKPINK member Lisa on her solo track MONEY and we all know how amazing that turned out.

TREASURE will be making a comeback with their first EP, ‘The Second Step: Chapter One’ and it includes a title track ‘JIKJIN’, releasing on February 15.
