Fashion flops! Sridevi looks ordinary, while Ileana D’Cruz fails to pull an impact

Fashion is only fun, if you’re eager and willing to take chances and push boundaries. However, it’s also important to know that fashion is also an unforgiving sport. Sometimes the risk/experiment may work out well, while sometimes it may result in an ensemble we’d rather tag as mediocre or shabby. (Also read: Style Alert! Unfortunately, even after knowing that their every fashion stint is under severe observation, some celebs make a fashion blunder and so we’re here to show them a mirror that they have done bad. Recently, we saw Sridevi and Ileana D’cruz making a style statement which we think is really poor, have a look:

Sridevi

This 53-year-old actress has always been quite consistent with her style, but recently during her promotional outings for ‘Mom’, she made a fashion crime.On the left: Donning a powder blue shirt replete with a faux scarf, Sridevi teamed it with a printed pencil skirt and white strappy heels. A hint of minimal makeup, those nude pink lips, loose curls and delicately lined eyes rounded her look out.

On the right: Flaunting a flamingo-pink coloured dress from AM-PM Fashions, a same coloured cape with silver embellishments, Sridevi teamed her look with statement earrings from Amrapali Jewels and beige stilettos. A hint of makeup, her hair open, pink lips and those lined eyes rounded off her look.

Verdict: Even with two style switches, Sridevi’s outfit choices here haven’t impressed us. We give full marks to the makeup artist though, but with the above attires, her name is surely carved into the fashion faux pas category. Also, the powered blue outfit can be called a saviour, but the pink outfit made her look like a chewing gum (where’s the contrasting appeal?). Fashion rating- 2/5.

Ileana D’cruz

She was missing from the limelight for quite a while and we thought she’ll be back with a bang, but no, she didn’t. During her promotional outing for ‘Mubarakan’, Ileana’s black and white attire was way to average.Wearing a white shirt from Zara and a pleated black skirt from Sameer Madan, Ileana kept her styling simple with statement heels from Zara. Her middle-parted straight hair, dewy beauty look, black nails, subtle smoky eyes and berry lips, gave the actress the much needed final touch.

Verdict: Looks like the thought on Ileana’s mind to go the monochrome way was right (as it’s in trend). But, what happened here is, she or her stylist couldn’t create an impact with that look. For instance, we liked her makeup game here, but it would have been much better if she would have added a statement choker jewellery or a shirt with little bit of prints or patterns here and there. But, nevertheless, her fashion game went all wrong. Fashion rating- 1.5/5.
