Baaghi 4 Review

Baaghi 4 takes the familiar action-packed universe forward but adds a psychological twist. The story follows Ronnie (Tiger Shroff), who survives an accident but finds his reality constantly blurring. His loved ones begin to question his sanity as he becomes entangled in a web of obsession and enduring love for Alisha (Harnaaz Sandhu). The conflict intensifies in the second half of the film when Chako (Sanjay Dutt) enters the picture. Obsessed with his long-lost love Avantika, Chako mistakes Ronnie’s girlfriend Aisha for her, leading to an epic clash of emotions, delusion, and brutal combat.

What Works

Tiger Shroff’s signature action sequences are slick, stylish, and well-choreographed, catering to his core fanbase. The psychological angle of blurred reality vs. obsession adds freshness to the Baaghi template. Sanjay Dutt’s screen presence elevates the film, bringing a mix of menace and vulnerability. Harnaaz Sandhu’s dual roles add intrigue and unexpected layers to the story.High production value with strong visual appeal in action set pieces and foreign locations.

What Doesn’t Work

The narrative at times gets overly melodramatic and stretched, slowing the pace. Emotional depth takes a backseat to stylised action, making the love triangle feel undercooked. While, some predictable tropes weaken the psychological thriller element. Secondary characters don’t always get enough space to shine.

Technical Analysis

The film is visually grand with slick cinematography, pulsating background music, and high-octane stunts. The screenplay juggles love, obsession, and action, but editing could have been sharper to maintain consistent tension. The climax, though predictable, is mounted on a large scale and delivers spectacle.

Star Performances

Tiger Shroff as Ronnie is once again shines in high-octane action, though his emotional range remains limited. His dedication to physicality is unquestionable.

Sanjay Dutt impresses as villain Chako with his powerful performance mixing intensity and eccentricity. His emotional obsession makes the antagonist layered.

Harnaaz Sandhu dual role as Aisha and Avantika, ipresses in her double role, balancing vulnerability and mystery, with lots of action that leaves a strong mark.

Sonam Bajwa as Olivia, adds glamour and charm but is underutilised. She should have given more screen time as her presence was magnetic on-screen.

The supporting cast Shreyas Talpade, Upendra Limaye, Saurabh Sachdeva, Sheeba Akashdeep Sabir, Mahesh Thakur and Sunit Morarjee. Tue competent performances, though they mostly play functional roles to move the story ahead.

Conclusion

Baaghi 4 stays true to its franchise DNA, stylised action, larger-than-life clashes, and heightened drama. Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt face-off is the highlight, while Harnaaz Sandhu’s dual role adds freshness. However, the film falters in emotional depth and pacing. If you enjoy adrenaline pumping action with a touch of psychological drama, this one delivers entertainment, though not without flaws.
