Indian 2 Review
Unlike S Shankar’s previous films like Indian, Sivaji: The Boss, Mudhalvan, and more, Indian 2 is unfulfilling and unrealistic. The 3-hour-long film is filled with unwanted and extended scenes that make the film seem way longer than it actually is.
The film begins with a group of youngsters running a YouTube channel and highlighting the injustices happening in society. From corruption in government offices to banks
What Works
Nothing much aside from the concept of the film and the prosthetic makeup. The action has a little freshness but it’s lost given the stretched script.
What Doesn’t Work
Caricature characters, a weak script, and not properly blended storylines make it seem like you’re watching two separate films. Aside from these points, the music too is not that noteworthy and neither is the actors’ acting. The script has reduced the stars to 1-dimensional characters who fail to form an emotional connect with the audience.
Conclusion
While Indian evoked feelings of patriotism and fear while doing illegal work, Indian 2 fails to re-create the magic. The film – filled with weak writing and caricature performances, is worth skipping.
