Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer ‘Kaabil‘ saw growth in numbers on day 14. As per the production house, the movie collected Rs 3.05 crore on Tuesday and the total 14 day business of the movie is Rs 124.16 crore. The figures are fluctuating but the movie has managed to keep a steady pace overall and it’s indeed commendable considering the fact that the movie was pitted against Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ and only had 40% screens in the first week. As was predicted by some trade experts, the movie marked the Rs 100 crore mark in just 10 days. The movie picked up even more when the number of screens were increased, owing to the good performance at the box office and positive word of mouth.

Producer Rakesh Roshan had stated to a leading daily, that his movie was made on a budget of Rs 35 crore which excluded his and Hrithik’s fees. Add to it, Rs 15 crore on P&A. The satellite rights were sold off for Rs 50 crore whereas music was sold for Rs 8 crore and overseas for Rs 16 crore.

The movie also became the first movie to release in Pakistan post the ban on Indian movies was lifted. ‘Kaabil’ directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan released on January 25, 2017. The movie also stars Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in negative roles.
