Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer ‘Kaabil‘ is doing a fair business at the box office. As per figures from the production house, the movie has minted Rs 1.11 crore on day 17, i.e. on Friday. The overall 17-day collection of the movie stands at Rs 130.27 crore which is good enough, considering that the movie was pitted against Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ on January 25, 2017.

Yesterday, Akshay Kumar-starrer courtroom drama ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ hit the big screens, so the drop in numbers was expected. (ALSO READ: ‘Kaabil’ adds another feather to its cap, becomes the first super hit film of 2017)

According to reports in a leading web portal, ‘Kaabil’ which was the first one to release in Pakistan after the ban on Indian movies was lifted, collected Rs 2.50 crore in Pakistan. Producer Rakesh Roshan had spoken about the budget of the movie with the portal. He said, “I sold the film for a lesser price to my distributors. I am the only producer who sells to individual distributors. My all India sale to distributors is not exceeding more than Rs. 42 crores. I made the film in, without counting Hrithik’s and my price, we have made the film at a budget of Rs.35 crore. Plus Rs. 15 cr on P&A. Satellite rights were sold for Rs. 50 cr, while music was sold for Rs 8 crore. Overseas went for Rs. 16 crore.”

‘Kaabil’ is directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan. The movie also stars Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in pivotal role.
