Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan‘s upcoming film ‘Dangal’ already seems to be on the path of victory. The film, which will make it to the theatres on December 23, 2016, has apparently recovered its production cost already, just by selling the satellite rights.

As per reports, the satellite rights of ‘Dangal’ have been sold at the whooping cost of Rs 75 crore to ZEE. The film has been made on the budget of Rs 70 crore, clearly stating that they have already recovered the production cost with this satellite deal. The production was revealed by Aamir himself.

In one of the interviews he was quoted saying, “I never expect my films to earn a lot. I just want people to like my films. These days people change the figures of a film’s earnings. But everyone in the industry knows the truth. I have never done that. You may remember ‘Talaash’ earned Rs 95 crore. Had I wanted, I could have easily turned it into Rs. 100 crore. But I didn’t. Actually, we were expecting only Rs. 75 crore from that film. It was just a bonus that it earned Rs. 95 crore. As for ‘Dangal’, its budget is nearly Rs. 70 crore. I am hopeful that the film will earn at least that much.”

Isn’t this a great news? So now all that the ‘Dangal’ team has to do is count in the profits.
