Director Sanjay Gupta has a terrific script for you. Ranbir Kapoor, are you listening?

Director Sanjay Gupta has been known to marvel us with his terrific scripts, wherein he extracts the best performance out of the actors. This has been seen in ‘Jazbaa’, which had the acting prowess of  Aishwarya Rai and Shabana Azmi, or even the latest, ‘Kaabil’, where we see him utilising the talent that Hrithik Roshan is, in the best way possible.

Hence, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that if he sets his eyes on an actor, the latter is sure to get a wonderful character in hand. And this time, he is none other than Ranbir Kapoor, who is being praised by all and sundry for his performance in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

The director, on being recently asked as to who he wants to work with next, said, “If you are asking if there’s an actor I am dying to work with then I will say yes, and his name is Ranbir Kapoor but only because there is that one script I have for him which I have never narrated to anybody and I won’t narrate it to anybody except him. If I make it, it will be only with Ranbir because I have written it keeping him in mind. I cannot imagine anybody else playing that character.”

When probed further, he revealed a bit about the story too. “It’s wholesome drama of the Raj Kumar Hirani kind. You cannot call Raju’s films comedies. It has a beautiful title called Bigde Nawab and it’s a brilliant story. When I saw the title song of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil my heart just screamed — look at this guy and the honesty in his face. He is feeling that song not just singing it. Like when you are working with Hrithik Roshan, he is living that scene — it’s that sincerity as an actor. It’s all about presentation,” he said.

Wow, that surely seems interesting. We wish Ranbir gets wind of this and agrees to work with the director. After his amazing performance in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, we believe that this one will raise the bar even higher.
