There was a lot of speculation and buzz about Hrithik Roshan‘s character in ‘Mohenjo Daro’. And with the film’s trailer release, it is finally out in the open that Hrithik is playing an Indigo farmer.

This will be the first time Hrithik will be seen playing a farmer onscreen. The actor will be seen as an indigo farmer as indigo was a natural dye extracted from plants during ancient times. The crop was also significant for barter exchange. ‘Mohenjo Daro’s trailer also shows the old means of trading, the method which was used before money was coined. The barter system, taking us back to our History textbooks.

The trailer shows glimpses of Hrithik indulging in a conversation of Barter exchange. The actor is seen bargaining the barter in the trailer in his most eloquent style.

The trailer has already been viewed by 30 million people worldwide and has got a thumbs up from its audience. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker, ‘Mohenjo Daro’ is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and is slated to release on August 12th, 2016.
