He expressed his sadness by saying, “It’s deeply saddening to me as a filmmaker, as a human being, as a citizen of our prestigious and wonderful country that we have to kind of endure something like this. My thoughts, my support and all my ideologies are with Sanjay. Every time I read something like this, it really saddens me. We on our level, between the producers guild have sat down, we are all in support with Sanjay and his entire cast and crew. I hope that adequate measures be taken that something like this would never happen to another filmmaker again in our land.”

Director of ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’, SS Rajamouli too agreed with Karan Johar’s stance on the issue.

For the uninitiated, on Tuesday around 12:30 am, certain miscreants attacked the film sets of ‘Padmavati’ in Kolhapur. They set it ablaze and also attempted to damage the property. A complaint has been registered and the cops are investigating the matter. We hope that the makers are able to complete shooting of the movie without such hassles and the makers can release the movie on November 17, 2017.
