Priyanka Chopra speaks up on ‘Pinga’ controversy

After Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra also broke her silence on the ‘Pinga’ controversy. Since the day it released, it has been facing criticisms; while some said it didn’t resemble the classical Marathi dance form in any way, some complained the historical facts weren’t obeyed while the execution took place. Soon after Deepika Padukone clearly putting across her opinion, Priyanka Chopra did the same too.

Priyanka was asked how she feels about the same, during the trailer launch of Bajirao Mastani, and she sounded honest. “This film is definitely a part of history. It’s based on a book called ‘Rau’, which is the author’s version of what happened in Bajirao Mastani’s love story. So please look at it as a beautiful rendition of an epic saga told from the vision of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and nothing more than that.”
