Salman Khan

Today, Salman Khan launched the much awaited trailer of his upcoming movie ‘Tubelight’ and amidst all the fan frenzy and excitement, the actor seemed visibly upset as he remembered late actors Om Puri, Vinod Khanna and Reema Lagoo. Senior actor Om Puri passed away due to a cardiac arrest in January, Vinod Khanna passed away in April due to cancer and Reema Lagoo’s sudden demise occurred due to a heart attack. We lost three gems of the industry and clearly, Salman too was upset over the loss. He has worked with all the three actors and it was natural to be sad about it.

So when he was asked about it, he said, “VK (Vinod Khanna) was an amazing person. He was our hero. When I was shooting in Reeva, I came to know about Reema Lagoo ji’s demise. It is sad I have lost three very close people in the last three four months. Well, it’s surely a big loss for Bollywood as this year we have already lost three gems, Om Puri, Vinod Khanna and Reema Laago.” (Also Read: Not just ‘Tubelight’, but these five films too prove that Salman Khan’s camaraderie with kids is best)

Late actor Om Puri is a part of the movie and it can be called as his last movie, so Salman got emotional as he said, “Whenever I see the teaser and the song, I see him and it kills me. I don’t enjoy watching the teaser and the song because I see him. One moment, he was there and then he was no more. This is my reaction to Tubelight’s teaser and Radio song.”

Meanwhile, ‘Tubelight’ directed by Kabir Khan starring Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and late actor Om Puri is all set to release on June 23, 2017.
