Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor is a fitness freak, we all know that. He has always sported a best physique and is considered to be one of the hottest stars in town. But well, apart from being a fitness freak, Shahid is a dedicated soul too. So if any of his characters demands him to let go of his lean and trim physique, he would willingly do so. Hence, he had no qualms in putting on some weight for his upcoming film ‘Padmavati’ wherein he would be essaying the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh.

Shahid’s trainer, Samir Jaura, revealed it to a leading tabloid that the star would be putting on at least 5 to 10 kilos for ‘Padmavati. Samir stated, “Since he plays the role of a King (Raja Rawal Ratan Singh), Shahid will have to put on a certain amount of weight to reflect the regal look and complement the majestic costumes. For starters, he will have to put on weight — at least 5 to 10 kilos, although the focus is on building muscles through rigorous strength training exercises. Earlier, I insisted on outdoor and functional training, but we have cut down on that now.”

“Every kind of muscle training is necessary to replicate the look we need. He has been sweating it out, and bulking up without an ounce of fat is a challenge,” Samir adds. (Also Read: Trouble of fame! Is a female fan stalking Shahid Kapoor?)

After witnessing Shahid in his rugged, gabbru avatar in ‘Udta Punjab’, it would be a good change to see him in a royal avatar in ‘Padmavati’.
