Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Mogd. Rafi dialogue

Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has surely turned out to be one of the most controversial films of the year. After the Pakistani actor controversy, now here’s one more dispute that the film is facing. Well, in the movie there’s a dialogue which states, “Mohd. Rafi gaate nahin, rotey the.” This dialogue has not gone down well with the industry singers and it has also hurt the sentiments of the legendary singer’s family. And now, CBFC also regrets that they passed the film without noticing the dialogue which insults Rafi saab.

A senior filmmaker asks, “Since any dialogue causing hurt to any individual or community is not allowed, how could a line that insults a singer who is a national icon be allowed?”

According to the grapevine, Pahlaj Nihalani, the chairperson of CBFC, has ordered an inquiry that how the line went unnoticed when the film was shown to the board members. A source said, “It was only after the uproar that the Censor Board realised they had missed the insult to Rafi saab. Now Karan Johar may be asked to beep out the dialogue from the film all across theatres in India and abroad.”
