About Asha Bhosle

Asha was hospitalised at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Saturday after experiencing cardiac and respiratory issues. Sources told HT that her condition was critical, and she was being closely monitored in the ICU. Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed her passing on Sunday morning. Her family announced that her last rites are scheduled for 4 pm on Monday.

Throughout her six-decade-long career, Asha Bhosle demonstrated extraordinary versatility across Bollywood, ghazals, and regional music. Her iconic songs are Dum Maro Dum, Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Aao Na Gale Lag Jao Na, and In Aankhon Ki Masti Ke. She was a seven-time winner of the Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Award.
