Talking about the struggle he and his family went through Emraan said, "It was fascinating because we as a family could actually fight this disease. It takes me back to the first day, the hope with which we started off where Parveen and me held back our tears. We told ourselves we are going to make sure that nothing happens to our son. So it's just the feeling of accomplishment which everyone in the family felt."

Actor Emraan Hashmi had talked about his grief and struggle during son Ayaan’s battle and victory over cancer by penning down a book titled ‘The Kiss of Life‘, which had released a few months back. Co-authored by Bilal Siddiqi this book took the viewers through the hardships the actor, his wife and family faced when their son was diagnosed with cancer at the age of four in 2014. Recently, following a good response to this book, another launch event had been kept where we witnessed the undefeated superhero Ayaan taking the center stage for the very first time facing the media glare. This event which was held in Mumbai on Monday saw Ayaan along with his parents Emraan and Parveen. Ayaan seemed to be enjoying in his own world while he was attending this event, but his cheerful nature and adorable smile surely made the shutterbugs click more picture of him.
