Aditya Thackeray, Ajoy Mehta and Salman Khan

Superstar Salman Khan is now the face of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Open Defecation Free campaign. He will be lending complete support to the BMC to make the city free of open defecation.

To take this further, Salman met Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai, Ajoy Mehta and accepted the proposal by BMC. He will also be donating five state-of-the-art mobile toilets for the drive. Salman expressed his happiness over being a part of this social cause. He said, “In a mega-city like Mumbai, it looks really awkward to find people defecating in the open. I will try my best to tell them to do away with this practice.”

Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray’s son, Aditya Thackeray, who is also a politician, was at meeting. Our photographer managed to click some pictures from the event.
