Ahead of its much-anticipated release, Amazon MGM Studios, Excel Entertainment, and Tiger Baby hosted a special screening for their movie, Superboys of Malegaon. A heartwarming story, the film chronicles the journey of amateur filmmaker Nasir Sheikh and his friends. Their trials and triumphs led them to revolutionize and create a DIY film industry in their small town of Malegaon.

The star-studded evening, dedicated to cinema and the magic of movies, was graced by the incredible cast and creators of the film including Producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Zoya Akhtar, Director Reema Kagti, writer Varun Grover, Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals, Prime Video India and Sonal Kabi, Head of Marketing, Prime Video India. The talented actors Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, Anuj Singh Duhan, Saqib Ayub, Pallav Singh, Riddhi Kumar and Manjiri Pupala with the man himself – Malegaon’s Filmmaker Mr Nasir Sheikh.

Prominent names include Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Shibani Dandekar, Ali Fazal, Dia Mirza, Gauri Khan, Zahaan Kapoor, Ishan Khatter and Avinash Tiwary. Sanjay Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Shweta Bachchan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina and Khushi Kapoor were also there.

About Superboys of Malegaon

After leaving an indelible mark globally, from a gala premiere at the 49th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2024 to screenings at the 68th BFI London Film Festival, the 36th Palm Springs International Film Festival, and the 4th Red Sea International Film Festival, the film’s special screening left the audiences in awe, with cheers and applause being showered upon the cast and creators.

An Amazon MGM Studios Original Movie, an Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby production, Superboys of Malegaon will premiere in theatres on February 28 in India, US, UK, Canada, UAE, Australia, and New Zealand.
