Konkana Sen Sharma and Irrfan Khan will be seen sharing screen space again after Life in a Metro and Dil Kabbaddi. The 35-year-old actress said she could not have let go of the opportunity of playing Nupur, who along with husband Rajesh Talwar, is convicted in the double murder case, as such roles do not come her way every day. Konkana said, “When Meghna offered me the film, I knew immediately I was on for it. I was like ‘Wow’. I found it unusual, different and interesting and one does not get offered interesting things anyway. It is not like one is getting brilliant characters every day,”

Irrfan Khan will appear as as Ashwin Kumar, investigation officer of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). His vivid and talented acting skills are a work of perfection with which he always leaves a big impression on the viewers. Talking about the film, which takes a leaf out of the real life Aarushi Talwar murder mystery, the 52-year-old said: “’Talvar’ is close to my heart, the emotion of the film compelled me to do this one. I’m immensely proud to see that the film has received an amazing response before its release. We all are looking forward to the premiere.”

The film is based on the 2008 Noida double murder case, in which a teenage girl and her family servant were found murdered, and her parents were convicted for the murders and also depicts how office politics, professional rivalries and media coverage can influence the course of justice.
