The audio launch of Dhanush’s upcoming film Idli Kadai took place on September 14 in Chennai, and it turned into a heartwarming event. Actor-director Dhanush surprised fans with a live performance of the song Enjami Thandhaane alongside music composer GV Prakash. The biggest surprise came when Dhanush’s son, Linga, joined him on stage and danced with his father, creating a touching father-son moment that quickly went viral online.

During the performance, Dhanush broke into an impromptu dance and encouraged Linga to join in. The two danced together, and the audience cheered loudly. After the performance, Dhanush hugged his son, and Linga touched his father’s feet in a respectful gesture.

Speaking at the event, Dhanush shared the personal story that inspired Idli Kadai. He said that when he was a child, he loved eating idlis but couldn’t afford them. To earn money, he and his sister would wake up at 4 a.m., collect flowers from the neighbourhood, and sell them.

“We earned around two rupees each from selling flowers. After that, we would bathe at a local pump set and go to the idli shop. We could afford 4–5 idlis, and that simple meal gave us great happiness,” he said.

Dhanush revealed that this real-life memory led to the story of Idli Kadai. This film marks his fourth time as a director.

Idli Kadai features a strong cast including Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, Samuthirakani, Rajkiran, Shalini Pandey, and Parthiepan.
