According to a report by Gulte, the filmmakers of SSMB29 will not be launching an official announcement or content on Mahesh Babu’s birthday. The actor will turn 50 on August 9, 2025, a date traditionally associated with major updates about his films. However, the report mentions that the official announcement may take a little more time, but promises it will be a “global phenomenon.” Fans can expect an official update for SSMB29 around Mahesh Babu’s birthday.

Recently, Mahesh Babu took a vacation to Sri Lanka with his family to celebrate his daughter Sitara’s birthday. The superstar is also expected to have a lengthy shoot scheduled for August 2025, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas reportedly locking in a significant number of dates.

As per India Today, a source revealed, “August is when the cameras start rolling again. Mahesh has been undergoing extensive physical training, and Priyanka’s dates have been locked in after long coordination. This schedule is going to be intense and crucial for the story arc.”

Mahesh Babu’s SSMB29 is described as a globe-trotting jungle adventure. The superstar will be portraying a rugged explorer reminiscent of Indiana Jones, inspired by African tales. However, an official plot description has not yet been announced. The highly anticipated project will be directed by the creator of RRR. It is reported to have a massive budget of Rs 900-1000 crore.

Initially, there was speculation that the film might be released as a two-part series after completing filming by 2026. Nevertheless, the makers are believed to have reconsidered and are now planning to release it as a single film, likely in 2027. With Mahesh Babu in the lead, the film is set to feature Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and R Madhavan. Additionally, it has been reported that Mahesh will perform a huge solo dance number in the film.
