Mohanlal CONFIRMS Reunion With Priyadarshan; Director Calls His 100th Film Special For THIS Reason- Watch

Mohanlal has announced his reunion with director Priyadarshan for the iconic filmmaker’s 100th film. The actor-director duo has delivered several memorable classics such as Boeing Boeing, Aram + Aram = Kinnaram, and Kalapani. In an emotional post on social media, Mohanlal expressed his gratitude for the upcoming project and praised Priyadarshan’s contribution to cinema. The film is expected to begin filming later in 2026.

Sharing his thoughts online, Mohanlal wrote, “Some milestones are not just about one person—they belong to everyone who has supported and witnessed the journey. My dearest Priyan is stepping into his 100th film, and words cannot fully express what that means to me.”

He further added, “A hundred films is more than a number; it’s a testament to a lifetime of stories told with passion, countless mornings fueled by a belief in the magic of cinema, and an unwavering dedication I’ve been privileged to witness firsthand.”

The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, with Binu George Alexander as co-producer.

Priyadarshan On His 100th Film

In a video shared alongside the announcement, Priyadarshan spoke about the emotional significance of collaborating with Mohanlal for his 100th film. “My first film, as well as the first script I ever wrote, had Mohanlal as the lead. Now, my 100th film would also feature Lal in the lead role, which is something rarer than even a blue moon.”

The duo had previously collaborated on Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (2021), among several other iconic films over the years.

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s highly anticipated mystery thriller Drishyam 3 may face a delay. Originally scheduled for release on April 2, sources suggest the filmmakers are contemplating postponing the film. It is due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The film features Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, and Siddique in key roles.

Additionally, Mohanlal is eagerly awaiting the release of Patriot, where he stars alongside Mammootty after a long hiatus. It is set to release on April 23.

Priyadarshan is gearing up for the release of Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla.
