While the Kantara fever grips the nation, its maker, Rishab Shetty can’t stop raving about the mega superstars Yash and Prabhas. The actor-director – who has also been a recipient of the National Film Award, recently praised the actors and even revealed the stars who inspired and encouraged him to follow his dreams. Rishab Shetty Calls Yash, Prabhas Superstars

In a candid chat during the promotions of Kantara: Chapter 1, Rishab was asked whether these icons might feature in his future films. Without missing a beat, he said, “Pata nahi, bahut bade bade superstars hain woh log. And main bahut aadar karta hoon unnka jo inspiration hain, jo humko push karta hain achcha kaam karne ke liye. Woh log bhi humko, humara content aate hi, turant phone karke humko wish karte hain. And that’s so inspirational, aur woh bada energy milta hain aage badhne mein.”

When asked about his inspirations who have encouraged him, Rishab reveals, “Taarak sir, Yash sir, Rajni sir, Kamal sir, Dhanush sir and Hrithik sir. Bohot saare log hain.”

Yash Praises Kantara: Chapter 1

Rishab’s admiration goes beyond their stardom; he sees them as torchbearers who inspire and energise the next generation of filmmakers. But it seems that the admiration is mutual. Yash took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise him. He wrote, “Kantara Chapter 1: The New Benchmark for Kannada and Indian Cinema. @shetty_rishab, your conviction, resilience, and sheer devotion are evident in every frame. As the writer, director, and actor, your vision translates into a truly immersive experience on screen.”

Commending Rishab Shetty’s latest release on his social handles, Prabhas wrote, “#KantaraChapter1 is a brilliant film with outstanding performances from everyone…. The biggest blockbusters of the year. Congratulations to Rishab Shetty, Vijay Kiragandur and Hombale Films!!”

Fans of the two pan-India icons have plenty to look forward to. The Rocking Star Yash is all set to thrill audiences with his upcoming pan-India film Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown-ups and Ramayana, while the Rebel Star Prabhas is gearing up for the grandeur of The RajaSaab, Spirit and Kalki 2898AD, promising high-octane action, drama, and cinematic spectacle that only he can deliver.
