Rishab Shetty unveils FIRST poster of The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his 395th Birthday Anniversary

On February 19th, coinciding with the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, National Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty unveiled the first poster for the highly anticipated film, ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.’ Scheduled for release on January 21st, 2027, this historical epic aims to be one of India’s most significant productions, offering a global homage to the warrior king.

Director Sandeep Singh, reflecting on the significance of unveiling the film’s second look on this auspicious day, expressed, “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary is a moment of immense pride and reflection. This film is our heartfelt tribute to his indomitable spirit, a cinematic homage to the warrior who reshaped India’s destiny. We aim to bring his journey to life in the grandest way possible, ensuring that his legacy continues to ignite the hearts of millions.”

The film boasts a talented crew, including music by Pritam, lyrics by Prasoon Joshi, and direction by Sandeep Singh. Ravi Varman, known for his work on films like Ram Leela and Barfi, will handle cinematography. Resul Pookutty, the acclaimed director of Sound & Acoustics (The Goat Life, Slumdog Millionaire), will also contribute to the film.

In addition to this role, Rishab Shetty is also involved in other projects. He is set to portray Hanuman in Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman, a sequel to the superhero film HanuMan. He is also directing and starring in Kantara: Chapter 1, the prequel to Kantara, which is slated for release later this year.
